Conservation Agencies
NOAAProviding vital information of the biodiversity in corals reefs and the mainland forest ecosystems, the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration. It provides information for the people about the constant climate and environmental changes that occur throughout the world. Although it is an American agency, it outreaches to the islands of Micronesia and other parts of the globe to construct a viable information system; coral reefs, forests, land vegetation just to name a few. Further, it expands the knowledge and the education of the importance of the ecosystem we live in and its relationship to the destruction of habitats for some animals.

UN-ReddThis programs focuses on reducing the emissions of greenhouse gases into the air. It allows for countries to pursue cleaner and more efficient use of the resources we have today. Maximizing the amount of energy or production from a resource can lead to reduction in human made carbon footprint. It has three specific programs that concentrate in the Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa regions. It asists these developing regions to work with sustainable and environmentally friendly tactics to reduce harmful emissions let out into the air as the country develops. Currently in the Asia-Pacific region, around $6,300,000 was approved to help implement strategies/methods that will cut emissions around the region of Asia-Pacific to better air quality and better the surrounding environment. This also affects forest, marine and land ecosystems to become healthier and habitable for animals and plants to live in. Essentially, the programme introduces insight and information from many regions around the world that are willing to accept the help for developing countries with utilizing sustainable practices.

Convention Of BiodiversitySigned in the Summer of 1992 by the Federated States of Micronesia, this organization provided terrestrial protected land, locally managed marine areas, and biosphere reserves, as of 2002. It is estimated that at least 20% of the nation's corals will be under protected areas with regulations. Moreover, this organization promotes to stop harmful practices to the marine/land life. Fisheries and other companies that utilize practices to catch fish and other marine/land animals shall be subjected to specific regulations to preserve the endangered or protected areas.

Reef ResilienceFounded with two basic principles, Resistance and Recovery, Reef resilience offers research opportunities and studies in the environments around the globe. It is to keep the environment monitored, healthy, and intact from harmful chemicals/actions. Most importantly, it offers recovery methods that allow the environment to flourish naturally adapting the surrounding to change. Many of these studies are dedicated to understanding the environment better and learning to preserve it to the best of the abilities using modern technology. In partnership with The Nature Conservancy, it is able to focus on specific methods like resistance and recovery for identical environments like coral reefs.
